The New Hampton Senior Center is available to adults 60+ and the 
spouse of someone who is 60+. We offer educational, recreational, 
and social programming. We promote healthy, independent living. 
We encourage community involvement through activities continued 
after retirement.

Daily Meal

The most visible part of the Senior Center is the noon meal that 
we prepare and serve. The Center offers a nutritious meal 
Monday - Friday to anyone 60+ years. Meals are available to 
those senior 60 and over on a private contribution basis. (Those 
under age 60 pay the full price of $3.50.) Meal reservation should 
be made by calling 394-3137 before 10 am of the day you will be 
joining us.

Home Delivered Meals

We deliver a warm, nutritious meal here in New Hampton 5 days 
a week and if you wish more information call 394-3173. We also 
deliver meals to : Nashua and Ionia on Monday/Wednesday/Friday; 
and Lawler and Fredericksburg on Tuesday/Thursday.

Social

Don't sit at home when you've got many friends ready to welcome 
you here at the Senior Center. Socialization is often the main 
reason folks choose to join us.

Programming and Activities

What better way to stay young at heart than to remain active? 
Activities are planned each month to appeal to all interests. 
Our programming activities are held before and/or after lunch. 
We schedule craft classes, educational speakers, exercises, card 
games, bingo, trips, and many special events. Holiday celebrations 
are always a highlight, too.

Health Education

We have a Wellness Program including exercises. We hold 
various health related seminars and clinics such as: Eye Care, 
Mental Health, and "Heart Smart" just to name a few.

Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteering your time and talents at the Senior Center can be 
a very rewarding part of many people's lives. Volunteer 
opportunities can include:
Helping prepare meals
Helping serve meals
Helping deliver meals
Answering the telephone
Setting tables
Leading a program
Reading a poem or story
Working on cards
Helping wherever is needed

Transportation

We have Bus Transportation here in New Hampton. If you need 
a ride--call 394-3173.

Chickasaw Chassis Bus Hours:
Monday - Friday  from  9:00 am - 4:00 pm

Volunteer transportation is available throughout the county
and further for medical appointments.
